Municipal Court closure

  1. The Town of Castle Rock is taking appropriate measures to ensure the health and well-being of the community, and of its employees, during the COVID-19 outbreak. To that end, Castle Rock Municipal Court will not be holding in-person court hearings through May.

    Cases will still be handled in a fair, just and impartial manner during this time, with the same high standards of accountability, integrity and equity.

    Even though the court sessions will be canceled, there will be staff available to take your phone calls for questions, to resolve your case or have it continued. Call 303-663-6123 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or email us to make arrangements.

    Traffic and parking cases

    Some traffic cases will be handled by mail, while others will be handled with a phone conference, or continued to a later date. If you have a pending traffic or parking ticket, you may call the court to have your case resolved or continued. 

    All other cases

    If your case is not a traffic or parking ticket, call the court to have your case continued to another date.

    Motions, filings, requests, proof of class or community service hours
    If you have a motion, filing, request, or proof of completion of a class or community service hours, please email us, fax your document to 303-663-6137, or mail it to Castle Rock Municipal Court, 100 Perry St., Castle Rock, CO 80104. Electronic submissions are preferred.

    Payments due

    Payments can be made 1) online, if your ticket shows a point reduction and payment amount, or 2) by U.S. mail. Online payments are preferred.

    Active warrants

    If you have an active warrant you are trying to address, please call the court to discuss options for your case.

General court information

This information pertains only to the Town of Castle Rock Municipal Court. All court proceedings are governed by Town ordinances, court rules and State Statutes. Court employees are not allowed to give legal advice, but will be happy to answer any procedural questions.

The Castle Rock Municipal Court has jurisdiction over violations of Town ordinances.This court handles traffic, parking, animal and misdemeanor criminal offenses that have occurred within the Castle Rock Town limits. 

Some violations require an appearance in court, while others may be resolved by paying a fine instead of appearing. Many traffic violations are payable prior to court, but most criminal violations require an appearance in court before a judge. Fines may be paid from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Municipal Court, 100 Perry St.

We accept cash, checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

Parking at the Municipal Court

Plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to your hearing time due to the limited parking availability. Please check the Downtown Parking Map. Due to current construction, the map is subject to change.
