We are currently accepting applications for our volunteer program. Every year, we host a recruitment drive for volunteers until the end of August.
A group of trained volunteers helps hundreds of families and individuals every year by providing information, follow-up support and referrals, and by acting as a liaison between victims and the criminal justice system.
The Victims Assistance Program currently has 11 volunteers, each of whom attended 40 hours of initial training - as well as continuing education. They are given opportunities to attend specialized workshops or conferences throughout the year.

Volunteers must complete a 40-hour training program which starts in October, which is hosted over a eight week time frame. This program assists victims of crime by providing immediate crisis interventions, referrals and follow-up support. Volunteer staff works directly with Castle Rock Police officers and investigators.
Specific criteria, found in the Victim's Assistance Volunteer job description, must be met in order to be eligible for the program.
Volunteer applications are currently being accepted through Aug. 31, 2017.
