Family Trail Guide

Get outdoors this summer season with some free family fun!

A local nonprofit, the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation, has partnered with the Town to bring residents the Family Trail Guide. Embark on a quest of locating Bandit, the Magpie, who travels along five Castle Rock area trails and leaves clues along the way. Track down Bandit and make note of the clues to complete your guide and win a prize!

Free guides can be picked up at the Miller Activity Complex (MAC) at Philip S. Miller Park (1375 W. Plum Creek Pkwy). The first 250 to complete and turn in their guide at the MAC front-desk will receive a gift bag. The first 100 to complete the guide and sign up for the raffle, will be entered for a chance to win their own stuffed-animal Magpie.

The Family Trail Guide was created to help residents enjoy our local open spaces and trails, and to encourage youth to get active and be outdoors throughout the summer.

An adapted, ADA accessible route is available for children with cognitive or physical disabilities.

Established in 2012, the Castle Rock Parks and Trail Foundation works to enhance the recreation spaces that make Castle Rock a unique place to live. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to enhancing the recreational, educational and cultural life of the community.
