The developer of Canyons South will host another public meeting next week to review its annexation and zoning proposal.

Over the last several months, Lowe Residential Development Company has held six neighborhood meetings regarding Canyons South. The next meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Town Hall, 100 N. Wilcox St.

While the Town is not the host of this meeting, it is important for the Town to ensure all interested parties are aware of this meeting. Much of this meeting will be dedicated to answering questions from residents at previous open houses.

Canyons South is proposing to annex into the Town 1,547 acres. Previously, Lowe dedicated 37 acres for two proposed school sites and 448.5 acres for a future regional park, of the total 2,000 acre site.

Located south of Crowfoot Valley Road and north/east of Founders Parkway, Canyons South is currently zoned for planned development in unincorporated Douglas County. The new plan for Canyons South is to annex into the Town of Castle Rock with zoning for 1,506 single-family homes and extensive recreation facilities including parks, trails and a recreation center.
