It’s a priority for Castle Rock Fire and Rescue to keep our community safe, both by responding to emergencies and by being proactive. You can help by learning to help save a life.

Castle Rock Fire and Rescue will host a CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) training class from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Castle Rock Fire Headquarters, 300 Perry St.

Participants will learn CPR and how to use an AED. They will earn a certification through the American Heart Association.

Registration is available at Fire Headquarters 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The cost is $40 for both residents and non-residents. Please bring a check or cash when you register at Fire Headquarters to secure your spot.

“The evidence is compelling - CPR saves lives and has a huge positive impact on cardiac patients’ survival and ability to return to a normal life,” said Castle Rock Fire and Rescue Chief Art Morales. “We need citizens equipped with this vital skill to help us save lives.”
