Do you have a teenager getting behind the wheel for the first time? Are the kids itching to break out the bikes this summer? Are you simply concerned about the safety of your family? Join the Castle Rock Police Department, along with several partners, at the Castle Rock Public Safety Day.

Meet public safety officials from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 16, at Castle View High School, 5254 N. Meadows Drive, for demonstrations, safety tips and information on how to keep your family safe this season.

Castle Rock Police, along with Castle Rock Fire and Rescue, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Elbert County Sheriff’s Office, Flight for Life and Air Life Denver, will be providing presentations and educational opportunities for the entire family.

Kids, bring your bikes and helmets to learn the rules of the road at the Bike Rodeo. Drivers – young and old – experience the dangers of distracted or impaired driving. Plus, get an opportunity to tour police vehicles, fire trucks and medical helicopters.

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Bring the entire family for a fun day focused on safety.
