If you’re driving Downtown this holiday weekend, we have some news. Wilcox Street will be closed from First Street to Third Street Sunday, Nov. 11.
The work is scheduled to begin around 1 a.m. Crews will need to close Wilcox Street to set up two large cranes. The cranes will be used to help set the pedestrian bridge that will connect the two buildings on the west side of the street that are part of the Riverwalk project.
Please note, access to impacted businesses will be maintained during the closure – including the Yolanda’s/Dazbog shopping center. However, business access will be limited to the alley between Wilcox and Perry Streets, which is accessible from Second Street. Please be mindful of temporary barricades and traffic control signs.
A detour will be set up to bypass the closure with Perry Street from South Street to Third Street. Drivers will also be permitted to use Second Street to access businesses via the alley.
Work is expected to be completed Sunday. Questions? Contact Confluence Builders at 303-880-7474.
The Riverwalk project is set to bring a mixed use of retail, residential and office space to Downtown. More information is available at CRgov.com/developmentactivity.
