Beat spring break boredom; kids’ camps start March 18

Spring break is quickly approaching – give your children the opportunity to learn, create and play while school is out of session.

Each year, The Town hosts a series of youth spring break camps and now the variety of offerings is better than ever. Five camps will be available Monday, March 18, through Friday, March 22. Camps are available as partial or full days, providing a fit for any schedule. 

The following camps are open for registration:

  • Rock Rec Camp – this traditional day camp involves three field trips, two swimming days and structured activities such as games, sports and crafts. This program is for ages 6-12 and runs Monday through Friday.
  • STEMplicity Games Lego Camp – offered in half - and full days, this specialty camp introduces kids to various science, engineering and architectural concepts. Campers will use Legos, bricks, robots, science kits and craft supplies to explore and use their imaginations. This program is for ages 5-12 and runs Monday through Friday.
  • Pottery Boot Camp – this creative class gives kids the opportunity to learn the basics of pottery. This program is for ages 6-12 and runs Monday through Friday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m.
  • Jedi Lightsaber Training and Olympic Fencing Camp – campers will learn how to wield a lightsaber and step into the fundamentals of fencing through footwork, blade-work, games, drills and sparring. This program is for ages 8 and up, Monday through Friday from 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Dance Exploration Camps – these clinics will be held one day, for three hours. The theme for ages 3-5 is Princesses and Heroes; the theme for ages 6-10 is Trolls Hip Hop. Children will learn new movements and have fun while exercising.
