  1. COPS Camp - Challenge, overcome, persevere, succeed

    July 24, 2019, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM @ Meets at the Police Department each morning.

    Boys and girls ages 13 to 17 participate in a four-day experience that challenges them both mentally and physically. Attendees participate in a range of outdoor adventure activities that focus on developing teamwork and leadership. Law enforcement coaches create a positive learning environment utilizing peer encouragement and graduated successes. No experience is necessary. Class size is limited to 20 participants.   3. Dirt Jumps & Donuts

    July 25, 2019, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Rhyolite Bike Park

    Bring your bikes and helmets between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. to join the Castle Rock Police Bike Unit for a night of riding the jumps and trails. All ages are welcome, and of course, there will be donuts! *Ride at your own risk

  5. Western Heritage Welcome Steer Drive

    July 26, 2019, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Festival Park

    While Castle Rock may be a thriving community, the Town's Western heritage is alive and well. Don't miss the weekend of activities to celebrate Douglas County's history and honor a longstanding tradition. This year is the 101st year of the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo. The Old West will truly come to life. Watch as cowhands drive a herd of longhorn steer and cattle through Downtown. Starting at Rock Park, the herd will continue along Perry Street before completing the journey right in front of the Castle Rock Police Department. Lots of Western activities will take place in Festival Park, too!

  7. Douglas County Fair Parade

    July 27, 2019, 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM @ Downtown Castle Rock

    Celebrate the fair in Downtown Castle Rock, presented by the Castle Rock Chamber in partnership with the Town of Castle Rock. The parade starts on the south end of Town, followed by a pancake breakfast at the Castle Rock Fire Department to benefit the Douglas County High School Huskies. With well over 75 entries, including bands, entertainment, local businesses, and civic organizations, the Fair Parade is a must-see.

    Boots & Brews is an old-fashioned fair in Festival Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 27. The FREE family-friendly event features food trucks, bounce houses, carnival games, beer and live music. Everything starts right after the Douglas County Fair Parade. You are welcome to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets and similar to sit on. Families are also welcome to bring their own food and/or drinks.

  10. Rueter-Hess Paddle Days

    July 28, 2019, 7:45 AM - 1:00 PM @ Rueter-Hess Reservoir

    The Town of Castle Rock Parks and Recreation Department is inviting the public to paddle and kayak on the reservoir. The reservoir has not yet opened for public access, so these events are great opportunities to explore this scenic reservoir. Boat inspections will be on-site. Registration is required. Rueter-Hess Reservoir is located on Hess Road, one mile east of I-25 at the Castle Pines Parkway exit.
