The Town of Castle Rock Parks and Recreation Department is inviting the public to paddle and kayak on the reservoir. The reservoir has not yet opened for public access, so these events are great opportunities to explore this scenic reservoir. Boat inspections will be on-site. Registration is required. Rueter-Hess Reservoir is located on Hess Road, one mile east of I-25 at the Castle Pines Parkway exit.

Put your imagination in gear and get to 4th Annual Castle Rock Touch A Truck event Saturday, September 28, hosted by Castle Rock Police Department.
These trucks are usually plowing streets, working construction sites and saving lives, but for this event they'll be at Douglas County Fairgrounds for all to see.
Kids will get a chance to sit in the driver's seat and explore police cars, firetrucks, news trucks, helicopters and much more! Plus, get the opportunity to hear from the operators about how everything works and what role the vehicle plays in the community.

STREET CLOSURES: Wilcox Street will be closed between Third and Fifth streets, Fourth Street between Perry and Jerry streets, and Jerry Street between Third and Fourth streets.
PARKING: Parking is available at the Douglas County parking garage located at Third and Jerry streets, on the southwest corner of the event venue. Also, there is parking on Elbert Street between Third and Fourth streets, one block west of the event.
TROLLEY: The trolley will be providing FREE shuttle service. More information to come.
