Virtual Neighborhood Meeting: Oct. 13, 2020, 6 - 7 p.m.

You are cordially invited to a virtual neighborhood meeting regarding a proposed amendment to the Miller’s Landing Interchange Overlay Planned Development Plan (PDP). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this meeting represents the first required neighborhood meeting and will take place from 6 - 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020 via a Zoom Webinar.

This notice is being mailed to all landowners within 500-feet of the project site, as well as property owners on Prairie Hawk Drive, Atchison Way and Topeka Way. The purpose of this virtual neighborhood meeting is to share details of the proposed rezoning and obtain feedback on the project. We are seeking your feedback prior to making a formal submittal to the Town. If you are unable to attend the virtual neighborhood meeting, but would like to submit written comments or questions, you may do so by sending them to the contacts listed below.

Project Narrative
The Miller's Landing Interchange Overlay PDP is located near the intersection of West Plum Creek Parkway and I-25 in the Town of Castle Rock. The PDP covers approximately 48.2 acres and was first approved by Town Council in 2016. The main purpose of this amendment is to remove the restriction on single-family attached and multi-family residential uses, which are by-right uses of the Town’s Interchange Overlay Development Standards. This change allows Miller’s Landing to develop into a mixed-use destination with Castle Rock.

Please provide any written feedback you may have to the Project Team or Applicant/Owner by Friday, Oct. 8 to allow for potential responses at the virtual neighborhood meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

The Town will continue to accept any feedback at any time during the review process. Two additional neighborhood meetings will be held prior to public hearings before the Planning Commission and Town Council.

A rezoning presentation will be made by the project team, followed by an opportunity for questions and answers from the audience. To keep the meeting running smoothly, the following ground rules will be observed:

  • All participants will automatically have their video/audio turned off upon entry to the meeting.
  • Panelists, including Developer, Design Team, and Town staff, will have audio available to make the presentation and answer questions.
  • Questions will be held until the end of the initial presentation by the Project Team.
  • To ask questions or offer comments in writing, please use the Q&A function to type in and submit your question.
  • To ask a question (or make a comment) verbally, please use the "Raise Hand" function in Zoom. This is done by clicking on the "Participants" icon at the bottom of your screen, then clicking on the "Raise Hand" button. To “Raise Hand” via phone dial *9 on the dial pad. Once the presentation concludes, the speaker will work down the list of raised hands in order and activate the user's audio one at a time to allow them to speak.
  • Please be aware that there may be many attendees wanting to speak, so try and keep your comments focused and concise to allow as many people as possible to participate in the limited meeting time period.
  • Please be aware that the meeting will be recorded to ensure an accurate record of comments and questions about the project.
